Hispanic College Fund Scholars Program

Application Deadline: March 22th, 2008

Total Scholarship Funds: $1 million

Amount of Each Scholarship: $500-$5,000

Eligibility Criteria:

* Must be Hispanic or of Hispanic descent
* Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico
* Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year
* Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year 2008-2009
* Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
* Student must demonstrate financial need

Required Documents:

* Official transcript – Postmarked by March 22th
* Proof of family income – Postmarked by March 22th
* Proof of citizenship status – Postmarked by March 22th
* Essay – Submitted online by March 22th
* Letter of Recommendation – Submitted online by March 22th
* Resume – Submitted online by March 22th
* Financial Aid verification (if chosen as semi finalist only) – Submitted online by your financial aid counselor by June 30th
