Scholarships and Job Search

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is interested in awarding Summer Research Scholarships to 4 outstanding Bachelor of Engineering students who will be completing their degree by the end of 2010.

Successful applicants will be awarded a scholarship of $450 per week (tax free) for a period of 12 weeks between November 2009 and February 2010 for their work on a research project in one of the School’s primary areas of research. For a full list of projects available, please see below.

Students enrolled in a B. Eng. with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering may use their participation in this program as their work experience requirement for graduation. If you are an external student, please check with your home university to see whether participation in this program will fulfill all or part of your work experience requirement.

Eligibility

Applications are open to full time Bachelor of Engineering (or related discipline) students from any Australian university*, however is mainly directed at students who will be completing their degree by the end of 2010.

Applications are open to both local and international students.

*Successful applicants will be required to provide their own transportation to and from the School for the 12 week period of work.

Allowance

Successful applicants will receive $450 per week (tax free) for a period of 12 weeks between November 2009 and February 2010.

Applications for 2009 Summer Research Scholarships will open in September 2009.

Selection
Selection will be based on academic performance to date in your Bachelor of Engineering (or related discipline), and the intended research project.
